New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

Wether you're going to a huge party, a little get together or just staying in with friends and family, New Years Eve is a night where you make an effort with your outfit! Here's some ideas of what I might be wearing on New Years Eve...

Here's what I'm sure a lot of people will be going for this year, the LBD. It's perfect for parties or clubbing or any other formal events; And of course the peplum dress is also a HUGE trend at the moment. This one's slightly different to your average peplum dress because of the cut outs just above the peplum. This is from Renee London but was also availabile in Topshop at the time of the purchase.
I always pair my LBD's with Black Stilletos for a classy touch! These shoes are from St Johns market in Liverpool.
If you don't like heels, black wedges also look fab with LBD's. These are from MrShoes.
This dress would be used for a more casual night. You could dress this up or down with obviously a pair of heels or a pair of flats. But this dress would maybe be nice for a family party. This is from Topshop.

I would probably pair this dress with a blazer like jacket to dress it down a little bit. I loev this one because of the tweed detailing. This is from River Island.
If you wanted to keep an elemnt of formallity, a leather jacket would look edgey yet classy. This particular leather jacket is from Topshop but many shops stock leather jackets.

I would pair this look with wedges to keep it casual and comfy.
Maxi Skirts are such a good piece for all year round. They're especially good if you don't want to be showing too much flesh off and could be paired with various tops. Here I've paired it with a Bralet just to dress it up a little bit but this really could be paired with anything.

When wearing a maxi, I am more than likely to pair it with a leather jacket as I love the edgyness it gives the outfiit. It could be paired with lots of different jackets though.

I like big heels with maxi's to make your figure look tall and slim and these black ones are just perfect for this outfit.

Peplum tops are such a huge trend at the moment and really do add something to your outfit. You could pair a peplum top with Disco Pants or some Jeans. Anything really, I've paired this peplum top here with a fitted blazer which adds some class to the outfit.

You could pair the peplum top with a fur coat which adds some edgyness to your outfit and will also keep you nice and warm!

You could pair it with a cardigan to keep it casual and pretty. I especially love this style of cardigan and the tweed and leather detailling.

I would definitely pair all these outfits with these gorgeous nude heels because pairing trousers with nude heels is just a must for me. These shoes in particular are from Zara.
This outfit again, could be dressed up or down. The dip hem skirt was very on trend this summer but I  am still a big fan of these skirts so when I'm going out,  I love wearing them because it's far too cold to wear them for everyday events. If you were to wear a jacket with this, I would pair it with a denim or leather jacket.

Once again, the black heels would look fab with this outfit.

Or the wedges, this outfit is really versatile and could be worn with many different shoes.
Fitted trousers are always a good last minute outfit! They look classy and also can be made to look very formal.  I love the detail on these trousers especially and have been getting a lot of wear out of them this winter. You could pair trousers with really anything, maybe a blouse or peplum top? Crop tops always look good wth high waisted trousers aswell.

Again, I'd pair a nude pair of heels with this outfit because as I said I always pair nude heels with trousers.

I hope you've all enjoyed this post and it gave you some ideas! Remember this is only my style and what I like you can take these ideas away and change them in whatever way you'd like. If you're not comfortable with wearing heels, I think most of these looks could be paired with flats instead. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have a lovely new year and 2013!

NOTD: Christmas nails!

Hey everyone,

I got my nails done the other day and chose a sparkly red colour which I love; Very Christmassy, I know. I got Shellac on them because I always chip my nails and Shellac stays on for a while and looks really shiny and polished. What are all your Christmas nails like or your favourite Christmas nail trends?

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012

Hey everyone,

Last night, the Victoria's Secret fashion show was premiered in the UK on tv
and as expected, it was unreal! They really do know how to put on a show and the acts that performed there ere fabulous! And as for the models, I have no words. They're all absolutely unreal and to of my favourite models Cara Delevingne and Barbara Palvin were featured in it. There was so many different themes and it was such a unique fun show. Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Bruno Mars all performed along side the girls!

Gold glittery eyes

Hey everyone,

Yesterday was one of my close friends birthdays and we all had our make up done. I chose to get gold glittery eyes as it's christmasy and compliments my blonde hair. They used MAC products and put lashes on me. I really loved this look and would love to try and re-create it myself maybe using my Urban Decay naked pallet and some glitter.

Outfit of the day 29/11/12

Hey everyone, it's the light switch on where I live tonight so I thought I'd show you what I'm wearing. My make up and hair isn't done yet but i'll probably be wearing a natural look for both of them. I wear a lot of outfits like this in these freezing tempuratures!

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, I had awful lighting and no one to take the picture. Also, as you can see I'm not
wearing shoes but the shoes I paired with this outfit are my gold and velvet studded flats from Topshop.

Review: Sleep in Rollers

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be reviewing the 'Sleep in Rollers'. I've used these quite a few times now and I LOVE them.

At first, they were quite hard to get used to when sleeping but once I got in a comfy position, I slept amazingly all night long and when I woke up they were still in place just as tight as they were when I went to sleep. As I've used them more often, they're a lot easier to get used to and I've figured out lots of different ways to style my hair with them.

They're great for when you have to get up early but you still want your hair to look fab! It means you can get a bit of extra sleep and just wake up with gorgeous hair. They're really comfy aswell,so much comfier than velcrow/heated rollers which sometimes give me headaches. I think I might even use these  when I'm not asleep and I'm just having rollers in all day for curly hair in the night because they give such a nice effect on your hair.

I really reccomend these rollers, you can buy them here at such an affordable price for what they are- http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/details.asp?ID=SleepinRollers

The adorable bag they are packaged in!

Weekly Wants

I have no money at the moment and the money I do have is being saved for Christmas presents. So, I have no choice but to do a 'Weekly Wants' post as I want so much that I can't have I need to put it somewhere!

This first item is just my Winter Want really, I've wanted a fur coat for ages and leapord print is a recent obsession of mine so when I saw this in Miss Selfridge I was actually dying. I'd literally only just bought my winter coat though so could not afford this at £89. But I'm either saving up or getting it with Christmas money!

The next item is a lot on the cheaper side and I am really considering getting it. I went to the Harvey Nichols 'Look Good Feel Better' event in Manchester last Wednesday (click here to read my post on it) and I saw someone wearing this gorgeous dress and was immediately in love with it and I've finally tracked it down! It's only £22 from River Island.

Also, at  Harvey Nichols I saw this stunning DKNY purse. I've wanted a new purse for a while now as mine is falling apart and this is just stunning.

Harvey Nichols 'Look Good Feel Better'

Tonight, I went to Harvey Nichols in Manchester for the Harvey Nichols 'Look Good Feel Better' charity night. It was such a lovely night! There was some amazing fashion editors there and I had a one to one session with Alessandra Steinherr who is the beauty editor for Glamour. She was amazing! She gave me so many tips and told me all about her job and how she got there; It was so interesting.

The event itself was also fab! I got my make-up done at Benefit which I loved and also purchased the Stilla BB Cream which I've seen recomended in lots of places and I'm really excited to try it out and will probably be reviewing. I also got a Stilla lip glaze in 'Guava'. We got this gorgeous goody bag with lots of goodies in and it was just a really nice night and for such a good cause! Definitely reccomend it!

NOTD: Holiday Nails

Hey everyone,

As some of you may know, I spent the last week in Tenerife. I got my nails done before I went. I decided against Shellac as I like swapping my nail colours around on holiday. I chose this gorgeous colour called 'Lola' and I also had it on my toes. I think it looks really nice with a tan and is just a really girly pretty colour!

New coat (finally)

I've been looking for a winter coat for about 4 months and have only just found one that I like! If you follow me on Instagram you might of already seen it.

It's from Miss Selfridge and I love it to bits! I couldn't decide on a jacket with contrasting leather or a fur collar so when I saw this I had to have it. There are leather shoulders with a black fur collar. The material on the rest of the coat is wool I think? I'm awful with stuff like that but feels like wool to me!
It's fur on the inside so I'm sure it will keep me nice and warm in the winter.

Favourite Autumn Trends

Hey everyone,

I'm so sorry about my lack of posting recently. Obviously I've just gone back to school so I have a lot of school work and will not be able to post as much. In this post I will be talking about trends coming straight from the A/W12 catwalk and how you can incorporate them into your casual looks!

This is one of my favourite looks from Fashion Week; Cara Delevingne is also one of my favourite models! Trench coats are very in this autumn as is fur and this Burberry one is stunning! Sadly, not everyone can afford Burberry so here's some alternatives!

This is by Zara for only £69.99! It's not fur but is neutral colours and a lot more reasonably priced than the Mulberry coat.

This coat is from Mango at John Lewis. It is not fully covered in fur but the collar is which really makes it a statement piece.

This is the most expensive out of all the coats so far and it's from Asos It's £149. It's really stunning and the detail on the flaps are gorgeous.

Another trend is heavy knits. These are both off the Topshop Unique A/W12 catwalk. Khaki is also huge this Autumn as is the cross type print. These are also very expensive so here's some alternatives...

This jumper's from Topshop. They do it in lots of different colours and its really versatile ,it costs £36.

This next jumper is from Asos. I love the neckline on it and the laid back effect of it. They also do this in purple and its £42.

This jumper reminds me of the black and red Topshop Unique jumper above! It's from Topshop and is £42.

Obviously, peplum is a HUGE trend as its everywhere! Peplum is literally, everywhere but here are a few of my favourite peplum pieces...

This metallic peplum top is gorgeous and would be such a nice top you could put with a simple outfit to make it a bit more fun. It's by Rare** at Topshop and is £30.

I think this peplum skirt is a statement in your wardrobe. This one's from Topshop and is £28.

This skirt is gorgeous and tweed is also very on trend. It's £34.99 at Asos.
